We can classify them into the following types:

• Ferrous metals: metals that contain iron.

1. Pure iron.
2. Steel.
3. Cast iron.

Non-ferrous metals: metals thet don´t contain iron.

      

•  Light and  Ultra-light metals.

1. Aluminium.
2. Titanium.

• Heavy metals.

1. Lead.
2. Tin.
3. Zinc.
4. Copper
5. Bronze (copper+ tin).
6. Brass (copper+zinc).
